No, It's NOT Digital. Just Clever.

The GREY agency in Spain is running a campaign on child abuse for the ANAR FoundationThey created a poster which appears differently to children than to adults. Some observers suspect modern targeting technologies (even face recognition) might be involved but the truth is there's no digital screen.

It's a display trick created via a lenticular printing technique, a type of solution so different that it requires no electricity or internet.

  Philips' IP-Addressable LED Display

Philips brought to InfoComm IP-addressable LED displays for digital signage, called the QL series.

The idea smacks of Cloud and basically removes the signage player from the equation, taking the model of consumer content distribution technology (such as Apple TV, Google TV, and other Smart TV.) and applying it to “IP signage.”

Shown as a prototype at DSE earlier this year, Philips got feedback from integrators, and now they are heading to production for Q3 delivery.

Check out the Philips Signage Solutions’ infographic about its IP addressable displays.
