Vision 4K

Vision now ships two new 4K media players as well as a low cost Atom-based media player.

Installers can choose to add Windows or Linux, and an SSD up to 1TB. Unlike Vision’s other models this one is fan-less and has 4GB of on-board storage built in-- eliminating the need for a SSD if used in simple applications running Linux. It has VGA, HDMI, Mini-jack, and USB 3.0 connectivity.

Two new 4K models have new 4th Generation i3 or i5 processors and are 4mm thinner at just 35mm. These new models have four USB 3.0 ports, and a headphone jack. They feature a mini-HDMI port and a mini-DisplayPort. The 4K resolution (3840 x 2160 @ 30Hz) is only available through the DisplayPort.

The DP output can deliver 4K content at the same time as the HDMI delivers a separate stream at up to 1920 x 1200@ 60Hz.The DisplayPort signal can also be daisy-chained on from the first DP monitor to a second or third at reduced resolution, with independent content going to each monitor.

The i3 4K models is priced from £355 SSP and the i5 4K model starts at £437 SSP. The Atom model is priced from £158 SSP.
